Skywatch Friday - Sunset in the Kampung

Well, there is not a great deal of sky showing, but what is showing is nice...and I think it compliments the rest of the photo well....

  7. Love it! One would think from first glance that the people should be running in panic from the fire, but it's just the sky! Do you suppose they get so used to it that it's ignored? Great Sky Watch.

  10. What you can see of the sky though is aglow. This is a most engrossing picture of village life. So much chaos to look at. Quite engrossing.

  13. WOW! Amazing photo across the board. That sky is so dramatic that it looks unreal and the rest of the photo is so rich in color and detail... and so ... well... it would take me to long to try ad put words to it, so I'll quit with another 'Wow'.

Fishing guy....believe it or not, that is the real sky...it is either the pollution in Jakarta or the volcanos (jakarta is pretty near Krakatoa) that gives our sunsets amazing reds...that is WHEN you can see the sun. Most days in Jakarta the sky is white, but on clear days, we can get some amazing sunsets.

    i have been to many of the places you have been - including Africa and Santorini and of course Nth PNG so your photos mean a lot to me.
