Hey Ivar...That is Mount Merapi, and yes, that is smoke coming out of it...it was supposed to have a major eruption a couple of years ago, but it didn't come. However, the earth quakes that hit central Java were certainly related to Merapi.

ReplyDeleteMy first thought was that this has to be one of those computer generated shots they use for strange planets in the Star Trek universe - I have never seen anything like this before! The bells, the regular shape of the mountains, the colours in the sky!!! Awesome!!!
