I have been really busy at work lately, so have not had the time to deal with my Drobo problem...it will have to wait till next week, I guess...so, I hope you are enjoying these photos from the past...

My buddy wanted me to take this photo of this old building in Hoi An turned into a restaurant as he was directing the play, "Romeo and Juliet", and thought he could use this as a model for his set. I guess you can imagine Juliet on that balcony, and Romeo climbing the wall to greet her...

On another topic....check out these photos of a Lava lake in Africa...some very brave guys walk right up to the edge, and take photos...very cool stuff!!

Sipping Soup

The textures and colors in Hoi An are just great for photography...catching this lady sipping her soup was icing on the cake...

Selling Flowers

My internet has been down since Thursday night...so, that is my excuse for not posting a new photo since Thursday....arrrrgh...one of the bad things about living in Jakarta...

I took this photo using my 70-200mm lens from across the street. She didn't know I took the photo which I like as you get the "real" look in people's faces instead of the "posed" look you get when people know you are taking a photo...

Down By The River

One of the reasons I am really considering getting the new Leica M9 is the stealthiness of the camera. These two ladies saw my big SLR pointed at them, and immediately hid their faces. With the much smaller Leica, I probably could have gotten a nice photo of their faces...in the end, I decided to just back up and catch more of the scene instead of a close-up on them...a better photograph in the end, don't ya think?
