Family Photos

It was a nice day this past Saturday, and it had been awhile since we took our family photos. I set up the tripod in the back yard, and fired the camera from a remote control....with a 3-year old, it took many shots to get everyone looking good, but I managed to fire off a few good ones...

So, this is my family....Me, Tika, Kayla and Kelly....a family of girls!!

from left to right...Tika, Kelly, Kayla and me...

I love this shot of Kayla, below...

My Daughter, Kayla

Since my entire data bank of photos are still in jeopardy, my only new photos are of my family. This is my daughter, Kayla....

The Drobo nightmare continues, but I am going to try a third party data recovery program called, Data Rescue 3...I have read that it has been successful in recovering data. Before I use it though, I have to buy a couple of new external drives so that there is a place for the data to go if it can be recovered. That will take me a few days...so, in the meantime, I can post some old favorite photos this week....I still have on another drive all my "blog sized" photos that I have used on this blog...do you mind a few repeats this week until I can hopefully recover my photos?

The Magic of Leica

There is something about the images that come out of my Leica that are just different from what I used to get out of my Nikon. There is something about the way the lenses render the image that gives it that "Leica Magic". These two images were from the Leica M9 and the Voightander 50mm f/1.1 Nokton shot wide open. Even with a non-Leica lens, the magic is there...

This is my daughter, Kayla, by the way... just before her Ballet performance yesterday...
