After we walked around the big Bugis Schooners at Sundah Kelapa, we boarded small canoes, and our captain would take us around the backside of the boats, and then to the kampung (village). This guy was our boat captain...

Very nice. The people there have so much character in their faces. I would be interested in your own critique of this photo... outer glow, HDR, saturation, shadow/highight... too strong, too weak, etc.
This is a great portrait... love the emotion in his face and especially his eyes.
Mr. Charleston...hmm...I actually critique my photos to myself every night (to myself)..ha ha...Well, first off, I added the background to his right...before, it was just a white sky...I don't like the area just above his right arm...I could have masked that out better. I am not a big fan of portraits where the face in the middle of the photo...If I were to do this again, I would add more canvas to the right placing the man in the left side of the photo. Other than that, I like the way it came out...not bad for a quick shot while I was sitting in the boat next to him...Cheers! Scotty
Di-no-mite. I could tell something was going on but couldn't quite figure it out. I suppose that's a good thing that someone who uses Photoshop on a daily basis couldn't figure it out. Thanks.
