Just In Case You Wanted a Snack

Carts like this are called a Kaki Lima. Kaki means foot and Lima means 5. So it is a cart with five feet...of course the 5th set of feet come from the guy who pushes it...


Oh yea, almost forgot...the answer to the mystery photo below...
It is a giant clam...well, the clam inside the shell when the shell is open. The clam has a symbiotic relationship with the blue/green algae growing on it. The algae is very sensitive to light, and if your hand were to pass over the shell blocking light, the algae signals the clam to shut the shell...pretty wild, heh?

I really do like this photo. First, I just love the blue but the overall composition just appeals to me. I think it's beautiful.
