There are these "traveling carnivals" in Indonesia...they call them "pasar malam". They remind me of the small circuses that travel around small towns in the states. I think it would be cool to travel with one of these little carnivals and get to know some of the people...I am sure they would have some great stories to tell. These carnivals make for some cool photos, but I am not sure I would trust actually riding a few of the rides...

Striking the colors, not just visually, also at the level of emotions. A greeting. Elena.
Oh, wonderful. Yes, these are the circuses kids wanted to run away to join when I was young.
Nobody now wants to run away and join Cirque du Soleil, it is far too intimidating in its professional perfection.
Great shot, Scotty.

wonderful capture of mood with that laundry hanging on a line.
Dripping, like the laundry, with ambiance... I guess two bit carnavals and the carnies that run them are universal... we have them in Europe also. Not an easy life, and no doubt plenty of stories... I love "The Real Team", as though there may be an un-real team out there somewhere.
love carnivals the world over. Such a wonderful subject for photographers and this is a beautiful shot. Carla
