Take a Photo...Turn It Into Art

I took this photo in Hong Kong last year. I thought it would look cool with some textures added. It has become one of my favorite things to do with photos...turning my photos into Art, and there are infinite possibilities of what you can create by changing the blend modes, changing the hues and saturation, transparency, and even using filters on the textures.

This week, I will post some of my new creations using textures...

I am looking into writing some ebooks, and I think this would be a great subject to write about...

Hi, what about an e-book about underwater pics and workflow in Photoshop... I started last year with UW and it’s hard to find good information.. The main problem is color correction. For a few days ago I was in Padre Burgos in Southern Leyte, Philippines and did some snorkeling with whalesharks, even then I needed to do some tricks to get something out of my photos…

What a great idea Scotty!

Longtime admirer-only here, but even I could make use of turning photos into art!

Can't wait...

Two good ideas for e-books, Scotty. My husband would love the underwater photography and I know more than one person who would enjoy turning photos into art.

Can only add my voice to those who'd like to learn more about these transformations...

This one reminds me of some of Roland Cat's paintings. Roland Cat is a french artist, you can find quite a few images of his work on Google... dreamscapes...
